Born in Detroit in 1948, Glen Frey grew up in Royal Oak. His teenage years were absorbed with music and sports while attending Donero High School. Glenn studied piano and taught himself to play guitar. His first band the "Disciples" was formed while still in high school. After graduating from Dondero, and some success in the local Detroit music scene of the 1960's Glenn drifted to Los Angles. Some fortunate music contacts in L.A., coupled with his emerging talent  led Glenn to the formation of one of the most successful rock bands in the history of rock and roll, the "Eagles".
