70th anniversary dinner at the
Royal Oak Elks Club was attended by over 150 members and guest. The
evenings festivities were presided over, for the second year, by emcee
Carlo Ginott.
President Jay Dunstan, recognized two local business, Frentz and Sons
Hardware and Royal Oak Tropical Fish
And Bird Haven, with over 50 years of service to the Royal Oak community. Gloria Harper, and Pete Mancour presented the Bowman and Morrison awards, for community service, awarded to Karrie Thom Mahrle and Jim Johnson respectively. Muriel Versagi presented service awards to representatives of the Royal Oak American Legion, Canadian Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
